Эта серия сложилась из личного архива наблюдений за городами Золотого кольца, к которым я возвращался на протяжении многих лет.Я почти никогда не ищу кадр заранее. Снимаю в момент, когда привычный порядок вдруг нарушается: возникает неожиданная рифма, дефект, столкновение форм, времён, природы и человеческого присутствия. Иногда я ещё не понимаю, что именно заметил, — сначала появляется необходимость сделать снимок, а смысл обнаруживается позже.Меня интересует город не как законченная декорация, а как постоянно меняющаяся среда. Следы времени, ремонт, случайные предметы, новые постройки и повседневная жизнь не разрушают исторический образ, а добавляют ему новые слои.В этих случайных сочетаниях я пытаюсь обнаружить скрытый порядок и показать знакомые города такими, какими их обычно не замечают.
