I created the short documentary video «The Tug Sect» for a feature in my blog, which is dedicated to unusual and little-known crime stories. The project centers on paradoxical facts about the events.
Members of the cult deceived trusting travelers, gained their confidence, and then strangled them with silk ribbons. Afterwards, they robbed their victims, mutilated their bodies, and killed all witnesses, including animals.
«The Cult of Tughs» is the second installment of my series. The goal of the video is to explain that murderers can also make it into the Guinness World Records. As an example, I told the story of an Indian cult of tughs and its leader, Thaga Behram, who Guinness World Records attributes to 931 murders. I independently selected the topic, researched the material, wrote the script, served as the host, and managed the promotion of the episode on social media after publication. The installment was published on *Instagram (*Instagram is owned by Meta, a company designated as an extremist organization and banned in the Russian Federation), where it garnered 62 thousand views, 669 likes, 127 saves, and 30 comments.
