A Virtual Museum of Proverbs, Puns, Riddles and Other Winged and Not Particularly Feathered Speech Landslides

In an informal dialogue, the phrase «when pigs begin to fly» sometimes causes confusion. The interlocutor may begin to calculate the time before the pigs manage to fly, or wonder how a pig can fly and where this could happen…
A native speaker who knows onions can end up with egg on their face just as well as a person who has only begun to plunge into the linguistic wilds and is still having the wrong sow by the ear. We designed objects that literally interpret various metaphorical equivocations.
One can get to know them not by treading on people but by walking through the halls of the virtual museum. Some exhibits are interactive. Don’t be afraid to take the bull by the horns and fly into the auricle.

Anyone is welcome to interact with the museum on https://yalopayalo.itch.io/vmpqrownmfsc
The project will be finalized in Unity, and will be accompanied by a public programme (discussions, tours, offline events), collaborations with various institutions and artists.
The museum can develop international relations through exhibitions in different languages. The project may help to find unexpected cross-cultural intersections and differences, since idioms exist in all languages.
