My projects
This animation won the channel’s contest. This project was made by me and my colleague Maria Voronkova. We developed this idea together and then I was responsible for rough animation and compositing.
Idea
This is an animated short film in progress, fully directed by me. On this project I wanted to address Zoroastrian people and people of Kurdistan. I need to make sure that I got the atmosphere and the philosophy right and clean in this film.
Character design
My approach
For this animation I wrote a non-standard yet convincing story and made a storyboard that would help me showing the main idea from the right perspective. All characters were designed to be both realistic enough (so the viewers can associate themselves with these characters and not be distracted from the story) and catching (they have their unique traits that can catch viewer’s attention).

Idea
«Endure» is an animated music clip for music band Terminals. On this project I worked on all stages of animation development: from coming up with synopsis to finalising the clip.
The desired result was to convey strong emotions through motions and visual style.
My approach
With musicians we discussed the song and feelings this clip should evoke. After taking into consideration the desired result I came up with the art style and character that would be expressive but simple enough so that viewers could associate themselves with him. I sent each stage of work to the musicians to discuss, make changes if needed and approve.

Idea
«Kyokushin spirit» is a series of short animations, that advertise client’s sport centre. On this project I worked on vertical content and one horizontal clip. Client had the text and sound track. They also told me that they needed the vibe of traditional Japan and martial arts.
My approach
After discussion I designed characters and a visual style that represents traditional Japanese art.
Other stages of animation development were also made by me: storyline, storyboard, animatic and animation, that should give an impression of traditional foundations of Kyokushin and convince people to join the sport centre.
I sent each stage of work to discuss, make changes if needed and approve.
