Quests Around Pokrovka and the Campuses
One of the projects aimed at the acquaintance with the history of the buildings on Pokrovsky Boulevard is the quests that are developed by the students and teachers of the faculties of computer science and urban and regional development (FURD).
The project is led by the Candidate of Sciences in Geography, Associate Professor of the HSE Graduate School of Urbanism named after A.A. Vysokovsky, Mr. Ivan Mitin. Among the participants of the quests development are also FURD Associate Professor Uliana Seresova, FURD visiting lecturer Alexander Mikhailov, students Vasily Ukrainsky and Katerina Baburina. Technical development was supervised by Natalia Titova, FCS Senior Lecturer and Tatiana Lobok, FCS Head of the Center for Practice, Project Work and Entrepreneurship and carried out by FCS students Artem Makarov and Alexander Ivanov.
The mobile quest 'The Durasov House: From Age to Age' is an interactive tour that HSE students can attend at a convenient time. During completing original game tasks with their smartphone or tablet, participants can read interesting stories, learn interesting facts about the Durasov House, get acquainted with the architecture and the fate of the owners of the estate. They will also be able to earn virtual points and subsequently exchange it for HSE souvenirs. Now the project is at the testing stage, it is planned to be launched by the new academic year.
The second quest will be devoted to the history of charity and patronage. It’ll show iconic places associated with merchant and church charity around Chistye Prudy and Ivanovskaya Gorka. The route will culminate in the Durasov House. The second quest will be available to everyone and will allow not only to take a tour of the center of Moscow, but also to understand how the past, present and future of HSE and its buildings are becoming part of our society and our city.
