At the heart of the project is the image of Venus, but not in the conventional, demure reading. In my photography, she is placed in darkness and the movement of ethereal fabrics. The idea reflects beauty in the moment of vanishing—that fleeting instant when the form still exists, but the light is receding. This is a Gothic view of femininity: fragile and dissolving into the gloom.
