Wayang Kulit

A visual study of the traditional Indonesian shadow theatre, Wayang Kulit. It examines its structure, characters, and how they are distinguished through form, proportion, and detail, as well as key performance elements.

The research is based on narratives from the Mahabharata, one of the main sources of storytelling in Wayang Kulit. These narratives were adapted and reinterpreted within Indonesian culture, resulting in visual and narrative variations that reflect local traditions and identity.
