В США ВЫБРАЛИ САМУЮ КРАСИВУЮ ПОЛИЦЕЙСКУЮ МАШИНУ 2026 ГОДА
In the United States, the annual «Most Beautiful Police Car» contest concluded, and this year’s title went to the striking Florida State Police Ford Mustang. The car’s black and beige livery captured the hearts of voters: it received over 52,000 votes, which was enough to confidently surpass its closest rivals. Furthermore, the intrigue remained high right up to the final—a patrol car from Michigan led for a long time, its signature blue bodywork long considered a genre classic, but in the last weekend, the Florida entry managed to pull ahead thanks to the strong support of its fans.

The competition, hosted by the American Police Association for the 13th time, isn’t about speed, armor, or specialized equipment—it judges the visual presentation. Consideration is given to the vehicle’s photograph, its livery, proportions, detailing, and overall impression. Patrol vehicles from 48 states participated, and the total number of votes exceeded 360,000, indicating genuine public affection for the theme. Alongside sports cars like the Mustang and Camaro, the lineup included crossovers, pickup trucks, and even electric vehicles: for example, Massachusetts entered a Mustang Mach-E in police livery into the contest, adding a touch of futurism to the competition’s color palette.

Florida’s victory marks the fourth consecutive time for the state, and now a patrol Mustang will grace the cover of the «America’s Best Looking Trooper Cruiser 2027» charity calendar. Proceeds from the calendar sales traditionally go toward scholarships for children and the families of police officers, meaning there is a very serious social mission behind the spectacle of the competition. Organizers humorously noted that Florida managed to «catch the Blue Goose» once again—a reference to Michigan’s signature blue cars, which settled for second place this time. Georgia rounded out the top three, while Oregon finished last, with only 185 people supporting its vehicle.
For fans of automotive design, this contest is a perfect opportunity to observe how different states interpret the image of a patrol vehicle: some lean into retro aesthetics, others emphasize the ruggedness of pickup trucks, and others experiment with electric cars. For the police departments themselves, participating in the contest is a way to strengthen community ties and demonstrate that service can be not only strict but also stylish. And even if someone says that beauty isn’t the most important thing about a patrol car, when a Mustang like that appears on the road, public attention is guaranteed—which means the preventative effect works to its fullest potential.
