The mechanical pedal is mounted at the bottom of the public restroom door, allowing it to be opened with a foot without touching the handle. The pedal features a replaceable cartridge displaying a message, while the door at eye level displays posters—social advertising, brand promotion, and collaborations.
A person washes their hands and immediately grabs the dirty doorknob. Everyone in the restroom, including those who didn’t wash their hands, touches the toilet door handle. The «Stop» pedal—a non-electric mechanical pedal—opens the latch when stepped on, and a spring returns the pedal to its original position. Because the pedal is visible to everyone exiting the stall, its surface functions as a promotional medium.

Identity
The logo is composed of the elements of a pedal: the block is a button, the parentheses signify pressing, the octagon replacing the 'O' indicates where to place the foot. Blue represents the sign and text, pink is the sole accent, and white is the background and negative space. The accent font Jrk is scaled to 135%, and the text font is Golos Text. All corners are cut at a 45-degree angle.

The message isn’t read—it’s seen: two or three large words, following the formula «word (⬣) word.» The basic cassette is the logo; for brands, it’s a target showing where to place a foot; for a city, it’s «you are here.»
Construction
A mechanism that operates without electricity. A stainless steel pedal attaches to the bottom of the door and connects to the handle via a cable: pressing the pedal opens the latch, and a spring returns the pedal. A printed insert is located beneath the transparent cover and can be replaced without glue.
Posters
Signal on the pedal—continuation on the door. For the city—seven «You Are Here» posters detailing what is nearby and how to walk there. For brands—templates with a minimal «Stops» set: a line, brackets, a label.
In the environment
Eye-level poster, pedal at floor level: one door—one message.
