My Projects
Soot-black
An animated short depicting a simple story of a soot-black rabbit kit becoming too curious of the outside world to listen to his mother’s warnings
Character turnarounds
The challenge of this project was in the need for simplifying production, as it was supposed to be completed by a single person.
So I chose an easy to animate, geometric style, reliant on contrast and strong poses.
It’s almost black and white, silhouetted, deliberately lacking almost any need in post-production colour correction.
Backgrounds of the outside
It is «animated on 3s», making each pose pop while at the same time keeping the frame count for every scene relatively low.

Amateurs
«Amateurs» was a team project short film, based on a pre-existing short story of the same name by A.Bitov. It told of a man coming across a car crash scene and talking to the surviving driver who seemed to be out of his mind.
Backgrounds
The challenge of this project was turning a relatively anicdotal tale into a full on narrative.
It was decided to take the rather existential feel of the story and its vague ending and add an layer of horror to it (inspired by a character talking about possibly dying).
The reason for the crash — a random chicken appearing on the road at a bad time — turned into a deterministic spirit of disaster. The nod to possible death turned into a confirmation and the whole story became a looping narrative. Technically keeping true to the original, but adding new context.
Character design search
Besides the narrative, it was my job also to create an aesthetic for the film, storyboards, backgrounds and complete several animation scenes.

Animation samples
After the first viewing the film was given a description of «leaving a very particular, creepy aftertaste, giving food for thought and respecting the viewer’s intelect»
MERMAID COR (E)PORATE 2000
A music video for the song of the same name by Diavolisa and Vavsachnastia
Title card animation
The goal of this project was to enwoke the pure, unfiltred sence of GirlyPop, early Two Thousands fun!
And so the work on this clip was based heavily on finding the correct, bright, bold style and using it to its fullest potential in the most riddiculous ways.
