VK Fest is the largest entertainment and music event in Russia, which took place this year for the tenth time.
The idea of the festival is to move the social network to the real world for one summer, and as a result the festival brings together fashion, technology, science, sport, entertainment and other areas of interest to young people.
«The guests were waiting for interactive master classes, a VR exhibition, artificial intelligence games, and even the opportunity to send a message to space.»

The tower was represented at several sites of the festival. For example, MIEM conducted a command game using IE «Smile Detector» and a presentation of the Claw Engine. The FCN conducted the «Man or AI» quiz, showed the difference between the images and the text of the person and the I.I., and taught the guests how to distinguish. Also, visitors to the site were able to pass a test from the Continuing Education Centre of the FCS for vocational guidance in the IT sector. The festival also featured an IQ Media lounge, a Jeng game from the High Olympics, and a performance by ICU cheerleaders. The guests were waiting for special gifts and a lot of positive emotions.
The VR exhibition was prepared by students and teachers in the Game Graphics and Concept Art category of the School of Design, where the guests of the festival were able to see several virtual 3D locations created by first-year students, as well as to feel their atmosphere through VR points.
In the VR application format, for example, the Polina Ignatje PostExistence project was shown.
In addition, a master class in the creation of the level of the game was conducted with the help of the designer «Level Plastics: How Location Tells History». Participants used a designer to make part of the game world, either an interior or an open diorama. The essence of the work was to show how the plastic left-hand design and frame-locations create the final visual mood and transmit the atmosphere.

«At the VR exhibition, we shared interactive spaces where guests were able not only to see the work of our students, but also literally to sink into their worlds, assessing the fine design from the inside. The guests came to be inspired, to create something new, and to see real game universes born.»
The Unforgettable VR experiment is a project by Alina Loginova in Slips, who had previously won a prize in the game graphics contest.
And a charming alien landscape in Catherine’s Zlotnik Silent Orbit VR project.
«This is the first time I’ve ever been at this festival, it’s great. I had time to sink into virtual reality. I’ve been shown how your students do the graphics, and I’ve looked at everything in detail. A very interesting and unusual world for the guys.»
