

The Museum of the History of Stone-Rise and Jewellery is the first museum in the Russian Federation to be established in 1992. The museum is located at the centre of the historic building of Yekaterinburg in the building of the former School of Mines. The logo of the cultural institution all along was a linear image of the building in which the museum is located. In 2023, it was decided to replace the logo and develop the museum’s identity. A mandatory condition for a new logo — except for a word writing — is to abbreviate the MICUI, preferably in graphic form. In addition, the English version should be made available. The museum ' s brand style had to reflect its essence, its thematic affiliation to history, culture, science, the art of jewellery and stone-cutting, as well as its link to the context of the place, city and region. The style must be modern, recognizable. In addition to the key visuals, the design of the solutions reflected in the brand style manual had to be provided with all layouts and edited materials. My role in the project is art directorate, graphic design.
