ABOUTI’m Katrin. I design websites, digital products, and brand identities that help businesses draw attention to their products and clearly explain what they offer. I connect a distinctive visual idea with a clear path through the experience: what people notice, what they understand, and what they can do next.MY APPROACH[1] Clarity. You can come to me before you have a finished brief. I review your existing materials, ask focused questions, and help define the problem and the decision your audience needs to make.[2] Depth. I work with the information available about your customers: what they ask, where they hesitate, and what helps them decide. If something essential is missing, we identify what needs to be clarified before it shapes the design.

Task. Create packaging for children’s soap that catches a child’s attention and remains useful after the soap is finished. The concept also called for a bottle designed not to break if dropped.Solution. The bottle takes the form of a crowned frog. A pump dispenses foam, while the packaging is also intended as an object a child can play with. Once the soap is gone, an LED insert can be placed inside the empty bottle so it can be used as a night light.Result. The work produced a brand and a bottle concept with two uses. A post about it received around 700 views while the channel had fewer than 200 subscribers; a community page also reposted it. About 15 people messaged to ask about buying or developing packaging like it.

Task. Create a website for a social impact startup that brings people together through sign language. The website, app, and brand needed a visual language in which deaf people could recognise themselves, rather than feel that the design had been created for them from the outside.Solution. The central metaphor was space: an environment without sound, where light and movement carry meaning. It connected the visual designs for the website, app, logo, and merchandise. Within this system, sign language has a natural place rather than being presented as an exception.Result. Related visual designs were prepared for the website, app, and brand materials.

The project as a whole was a finalist at DAFES AWARDS 2025 in the Interface and Mobile Applications categories.

Task. Redesign the website for a career course on finding work in Russia and abroad. The course creator felt that the previous colours created an anxious mood and that the site presented the course impersonally. After enrolling, students moved to a standard GetCourse interface.Solution. The references to office life and careers remained, while the site’s colour accents, visual rhythm, and structure changed. Instead of one continuous block of text, visitors can find out who teaches the course, what they will study, and how to apply. The GetCourse pages were redesigned from the home page to individual lessons, with separate entry points for modules, live sessions, and student support.Result. The course gained a new website and a designed learning space. Its summer 2026 cohort sold out while the new website was in use.

Task. Present the school’s new consulting service to business owners and redesign its guided course on GetCourse. The client outlined the service, but the website’s content and structure still needed to be developed from that brief.Solution. The information was organised around two journeys. The consulting website explains which questions the team helps with, what it does, and how to inquire. On GetCourse, the guided course was redesigned, with its materials and lessons organised within the learning platform. The same visual elements were carried into the school’s presentations and posts, with dark and light versions.Result. The work produced a website for the new service, an updated GetCourse, and materials for presenting the school’s services. The consulting website was shared through personal invitations.

Task. Develop a way to promote a mineral jewellery brand. The idea of gentle renewal needed to extend beyond the jewellery into city advertising and places where people could spend time with the brand.Solution. Mineral imagery and textures were carried into billboards and posters, then into concepts for an outdoor rest pod, a reception area, and a café. The same visual principle was applied at different scales, from jewellery worn on the body to an object placed on a city street. The spatial concepts are shown in visualisations created with AI tools.Result. The work produced a promotion concept spanning jewellery, outdoor advertising, and spatial objects. Mineral forms and textures were chosen to give the brand a distinct appearance in the city. The pod, reception area, and café currently exist as visualisations.

WORKING WITH ME [1] Business focus. Before designing, we agree on the task and how to assess the finished work. That gives the content, structure, and visual decisions a clear purpose.[2] Reliability. We agree on the stages of work, review points, and feedback. Throughout the project, I share what has been completed, which decisions need your input, and what happens next.

LET’S DISCUSS YOUR PROJECT
