First photo of the back of the moon. 1959

In 1959, the Soviet Luna-3 machine took the first image of the back of the Earth satellite. The closest to the 'nbsp; we had a space body on the 'nbsp; thousands of years were available to the 'nbsp; astronomy observations only from the 'nbsp; one side (about 59%  surfaces). For  receiving  the first vague picture of the rest of the moon in  the do digitizational analog age needed many challenges.

All the steps of a man in kosmos is related to the fact that  once seemed impossible. One of the  the most popular television programmes in  Soviet time, «Explicitly Incredible» (the same as with  Carl Sagan in  USA and  the «Doctor Who» series on  WWSA) was built on the  the impact of the famous and  the eurystic, visible and  unknown. Many of the phenomena of life have light and  dark sides. «The Dark Side of  The Moon» is the eighth and most successful album by Pink  Floyd 1973  year. ==Conception=====Conception==========Conception========Conception=========Conception========Conception=========Conception==========Conception=============Conception=================================Nbsp================Nbsp=========================Nbsp ======================================================================================================================================================================================================================================================================================================================================

Not  less important in this project and  the Earth theme, which for all of us is the center of space. Alice, who was flying at , was thinking, «Ah  am I not going to fly through the earth? This is gonna be funny!I’m getting out, and people are upside down! What’s their name? The antipaths, I think?» Alice was right: how many imaginary diameters there are, so many and  antipaths.

Carroll took the concept of «antipods», an ancient Greek word — the point of the Earth’s surface, diametrically opposite to that given, in  the teaching of the Pythagoreans — people living on the 'nbsp; the opposite side of the globe: «… and  our  down for the 'nbsp; these  up.» And  brought it together with  the notion of antipathy, feeling  dislike. We’re looking for the Other in space, and we’re looking for the Other in space, and we’re looking for the other side — not the other side — we’re always able to understand, and we’re always able to accept people near the 'nbsp; we are.

Darya Maltsev: «The inside is our „flee zone“. But it is on the back that the first knots are mounted, the first impulses are born, the thread is reaching from there. This suggests a look at the  the pictures we’ve seen „from the 'nbsp; the back“ to the 'nbsp; the way they’re finally formed have become obvious. Images are similar to space images that captured celestial bodies, space phenomena, and  nebula. One of the features of space images is their ability to display global processes and  changes, in to  time as art is also focused on the quest to understand the world and  its structure — the consolidation of macro-  and micro-scales allow for the downgrading of the spatial criterion and  to focus on  time-bound: show border states of things, their  shifting substance, other side.

Pauline Stanko. Mother Earth. 2022. Textile interactive installation: metal framework, synthetic, artificial seal

Polina Staangko:: «The mother of the earth was considered to be God’s fertility on Rusi. Her image was associated with fertility and with life as a whole, and she had no specific appearance. Over time, attitudes to the Earth are changing, and we are exploiting more and more of its resources. My work Mother Earth is an object in the form of a change from which crystal drops of „black gold“ fall down. This image, with a bit of irony, beats a new paradigm.»

Street musicians are perceived as unprofessionals and beggars. Tatiana Makarov: A year ago, I went on a volunteer mission to Ingilor Natural Park. Ingylor means an ice lake, and Yamal means the edge of the earth. Then I moved to Salehard. In a month, I was able to catch a polar day that was coming to an end and a northern glow that was just gaining momentum. This is how my journey to the other side of the Earth, the Polar, began. They often talk about «greater land,» meaning the continental part on which civilization is located. An infinite tunnel exists as if outside of time and space, and the permafrost is not only under the thin cover of the earth, it is as though it is all the space of the Far North and every atom of it. Salehard is the only city in the world that is right on the Polar Circle on the 66th parallel.

In early September, there was a visit to the Arctic Ural on Mount Yellow. This high ground looks like a Marsian. From my camping trip, I seized several artifacts, which are the central objects of the installation. All viewers have the opportunity to touch not just the natural elements, but the spirit of Yamal. Alena Saveleva: «One of the favorite conspiracy theories is the Moon Conspiracy. His central idea was to claim that the American space programme „Apollon“ had been forged, during which six missions to the Moon had been carried out. The supporters of the Moon Conspiracy believe there were no landings. Instead, the US government, NASA, and other organizations have misled the world’s public. Of course, no one has been able to prove this theory, but a number of artistic works: Bill Caseing’s novel „We Never Were the Moon“, many satirical films, and even videos have gained considerable popularity in the world, including in Russia. The moon conspiracy is now more perceived as a global trolling.

«Show 1968: Youth protests, student strikes and unrest around the world, socialist communes are emerging in Europe and America, and the hippie movement is gaining momentum. But here, too, our cosmonaut training centre is ahead of the planet. At that time, it was decided to justify the youth community on the back of the Moon, led by Yuri Gagagin, and staged his death on Earth. Gagarina has succeeded in achieving all the goals and, most important, in establishing a prosperous community, no one is eternal. The time has come and Gagarin is gone. But his case is alive because Yuri Alexeevich has made a will to the receivers to keep the order of things. The Commune built him mausoleums, and the keepers are doing well.»

The project uses images created by the Midjourney neuronet. Marbles from the subway station Culture Park were the basis for digital generation. The phantom and momentary nature of the images generated mimics materiality and durability of the original, exposing the temporal shift. The future, before becoming the present, immediately turns into sticky technological dust and settles down a new cultural layer in the digital archive, becoming a future study of anthropology and media archaeology.

Pavel Zudanov: «In  this project I  wanted to create a world where the laws of nature are not  apply and  life exists within, a  not  outwards, questioning the link between what we  see, and  what we know. My  version of „reality“ is recognized at the same time and  foreign, close and  distant, real and  unreal. The goods store traces of heat from those who packed and delivered them, whose labor also remained invisible.

It sounds like a violin concert for William Gerschel. Ten years after writing this concert, he’ll read about Robert Smith’s optical system and start building his first telescope. During this job, he’ll accidentally discover infrared light.

The first thing you’ve ever seen is the night vision cameras, and it’s also human heat. They saw and handed over Red Army missiles during the Patriotic War.

Alina Yunusova:: «In my work, I keep track of the history of infrared light from its discovery to today’s day-to-day application — barcode scanning on a package of goods. In the film, I wonder what role objects such as packaging and barcode play in the oppression system and reveal the reverse of the global world. Neoliberalism, whose desire to make the market more flexible, has made it possible for producers to change the level of employment. At the same time, digital automation has entered all spheres of life. On the one hand, it improves efficiency and makes life more comfortable, but on the other hand, it is increasingly alienating a person from his labor.

The point of delivery is the end stop of a capitalized surprise. Packed and delivered emotion.

In order to get to work, the warehouse staff are forced to inspect, unpack themselves, leave their personal belongings and themselves in the lockers.

«In order to deal with the problem of expropriated labour, I chose the Wildberry case. In August 2022, the company introduced a new system of fines, which implies that all costs are now transferred to warehouse workers. Wildberryes calls this „distribution of responsibility,“ and they believe it should form solidarity among workers. In fact, such a system, based on algorithms, creates chaos and, on the contrary, prevents the formation of solidarity. What companies such as Wildberryes, OZON or Amazon do bring and capitalize is primarily the packaging and its excruciating component — the moment of disclosure at the point of issue.»

Flexible graphics, part-time employment, temporary contracts, multi-tasking-- they merge into a single sound to be packed with a database and the heat of globalization is invisible.

«The text is broken down into logical chains parallel to the visual narrative, which includes a number of experiments with a moving image: documentary filming, Foundation footage, screenlist, laboratory optical instruments and thermal sensors. In the film, I ask what role objects such as packaging and barcode play in a system of oppression, and reveal the backwards of the global world’s coherence.»

Anna and Vitaly Cherepana (CickinDunt) «Change» 2021, 18:23

Anna and Vitaly use CCTV cameras (closed-circuit television) to film artistic and documentary videos while watching the observers. In the video «Change», the screen is split into two halfs, and on the left, the viewer can see Kabul fall in 2021. The camera captured the city and the siege of the fortress. There’s a real drama: people are being shot, living people are dragging the dead down the hill under fire. And on the right: events around the same time in 2021 in other parts of the world. The plane took off in São Paulo, Italian private houses, gamer after game, filming from the batistaf, obelisk in the centre of the Republic Square in Buenos Aires, dancing children in a Fillipian home. Anna and Vitaly Cherepanova:: «We are interested in the magic created by video parallels: water and flag, fixed buildings and a fixed viewer. We’re looking at dancing kids, and there’s a revolution going on somewhere.» All surveillance cameras used in the film are available online 24 hours a day.

Grigodas. Nuntius. 2023. Aluminium pond and end-line fibre object

While many authors rightly notice how many antipods we have, even in our noosphere on Earth, the artist Grigodas creates hope for positive interaction with the most incredible species of the other planet. Her subject in the Mokyumenray genre transmits light signals that we have friends we don’t even know yet. This is a satellite with a message from the planet Kepler 22b, which is 620 light years from us. Grigodas writes that «after careful research, a message that was written not by text but by light was deciphered: „Dear neighbours of the universe. We are the inhabitants of the planet Kepler 22b, on our planet 3023; we believe that we are not the only intelligent creatures in the universe. And we know for a fact that each species has unique qualities and abilities that can be used for the benefit of all. We suggest that we get to know our species and pool our knowledge and strength to create something more. We hope that you, the neighbors of the universe, will accept our message with the desire to interact with us to explore the world together. With love, inhabitants of the planet Kepler 22b“

Grigodas (Irkutsk). To the stars.

Original size 1920x1358

The images were created by the artist using a generator graphics program and a TouchDesigner program. The sounds used for its creation were those from space, such as the sounds of the sun recorded with the SOHO spacecraft, various radio telescopes, and some sounds represented a laboratory reconstruction of sounds heard in the Huygens microphones, a probe launched in 1997. Also used was the recording of Yuri Gagarin’s speech before the start of April 12, 1961: «I had a great deal of happiness. To be first in space, to enter one-on-one into an unprecedented battle with nature, can you dream of more?» The artist uses generic art to investigate accidents, create unique forms and structures, and introduce a new dimension into the art through the use of technology.

* «On the back of the moon, only two seas (which occupy less than 1% of its surface) and a few smaller lakes. These seas are in the first picture: the sea of Moscow is slightly higher and the right center of the frame, the sea of the dream is downstairs, just to the left of the lowest point of the disc. There are also three lakes on the back: Lake of Pleasure, Lake of Lonely, Lake of Enoughness.

Morem Moscow has a funny case: its name, given by Soviet scientists after processing the images received by the Moon 3, did not fit into the previous tradition, decades earlier, of the name of the moon seas, according to which most of the words were used, either to indicate the state of mind or directly related to water. At the 1961 Assembly of the International Astronautical Union, this situation was resolved by French astronomer Odwen Dolpheus, who observed that Moscow was, in fact, also a state of mind.» «First photo of the back of the moon», Alexander Jarovitchuk
