
Introduction
«The Stone Statue of the Tang Imperial Mausoleum Series-2» is a documentary film which is based on the theme of video documentation and digital protection of historical information. The film has been shot for 5 years before and after, with the main line of «discovering the Tang Mausoleum, protecting the Tang Mausoleum and spreading the Chinese civilization», and using the method of reality recording to present the current situation of the Tang Mausoleum in two chapters of «current situation» and «digital restoration». The main line is «Protecting the Tang Mausoleum and Spreading Chinese Civilization». During dozens of field trips to the Tang mausoleum in Shaanxi Province and a total journey of nearly 10,000 kilometers, the film interviewed more than 50 cultural relics workers, mausoleum guards, local residents, art practitioners and tourists, and filmed nearly 8,000 minutes of Tang mausoleum footage, and used three-dimensional step-by-step to build up the historical appearance of the «stone statue». The film is presented in black and white to reflect the Mausoleum’s heaviness, while the 16:9 format brings a wider field of view and richer visual elements and details.
