OUT OF REACH
The project acknowledges the need to build barriers and wear blinders in modern information and news spaces. The information flow is so rapid, powerful and often traumatic that it becomes natural to want to hide and protect oneself from it.
White Noise prints. Designed based on the image of the white noise for television and computer screens. The prints directly reference the flow of news, events, information from which the collection character wants to protect themselves.
Despite the barriers set up and the «blinders» used, they cannot hide from the information flow. Traces of White Noise print.
The second artifact is blinders, symbolizing escape from reality, a way to build one’s own space.The only way to cope with the information flow is to install barriers, protect your own space, wear «blinders».
OUT OF REACH Collection
All designs have details and elements that, if necessary, can become «blinders»: storm flaps, double trousers, mini and maxi skirts. «Blinders» turn into accessories, from metal tops and belts to jewellery.
Collection materials. Metallic shiny surfaces that reflect noise. Dense black items that absorb both colour and sound. Bright accents indicate the compositions’ focus.
