One day in a hometown
Every person has places that can evoke a lot of warm feelings and remind of something long past, but very close to the heart. No matter how much time has passed or what life path has been traveled, being here you feel harmony and tranquility. Time seems to stand still and all problems are forgotten for a moment, you feel like a three-year-old child again, who carelessly jumps on the puddles after a heavy rain. And these places can be anything: the street near the house where you met your first love and a black eye, the bakery where you went with your parents after kindergarten to get aromatic freshly baked bread, the roof of the same high-rise building where you met the sunset on a cool summer day, or the bench on the embankment where you sat until the morning, chatting about all sorts of topics.
For us, this is our hometown of Cheboksary. We wanted to convey at least 1% of those feelings that we experience when we return to it time after time. So we decided to take a cell phone, get up before sunrise and try to capture all the streets and places of the city that resonated in our hearts during an ordinary walk.
We met the dawn in the heart of the city, after which we walked along the streets whose architecture we saw every day sleepily walking to school, visited the places where every weekend we gathered with friends to spend a carefree time, and at the end we returned to the cozy and quiet sleeping areas, where mom was always waiting with a hot dinner.
