
All you can find on the Internet about Alexei Balabanov’s identity is some of the main dates and events, a scrap of stories from the shoot. The director has always lived quite private and isolatedly, remaining a very mysterious figure of a post-Council filmmaker. So I wanted to better understand the important Russian director by going along with the heroes of his film.



The story is divided into two parts, on the left, where the reader can learn interesting links, metaphors, and look at photographs that reveal the film more fully.
According to the film’s story, the heroes are passing through a checkpoint where the nuclear station has been hit by eternal winter after the accident. That’s why the site’s atmosphere is changing to a snowy, dark one.
