Lisikhinskoe Cemetery overpass
The cemetery is always a conversation. Conversation between the dead and the living, the living with the living, the dead with the dead.
If we talk in general terms about the improvement project: then this project is dedicated to delineating the memorial, public recreational and communication functions of the cemetery without disturbing the natural relief.
Stage 1 — Analysis of the territory.
The choice of this topic for work was justified by the problem of communication, improvement of the cemetery — especially refers to the central transverse path and the area located around the perimeter of the cemetery (garage cooperatives, vacant lots, parking lots, technical areas, etc.)
The central path connects the Baikalsky microdistrict with the street. Deputy, the territory of the Relay Plant with the territory of the Vodokanal.
Transport routes were analyzed: public and private, as well as pedestrian traffic.
Then a topographical analysis was carried out — it was necessary to understand what kind of relief I was working with and, in principle, what paths existed in the cemetery
Stage 2 — Development of the main solution. After the first stage of pre-design research, it was decided to work with the central path, without particularly changing the terrain, and to partially diversify the traffic flows by creating an overpass over the cemetery.
The cemetery is a park, not just green zone through which pedestrians communicate or memorial area.
The overpass itself passes between local hills in order to transition the relief (see cross section), its the heights were smooth. Therefore, the overpass took on a logical arched shape, crossing the lower path (we leave it as it is historically).
Stage 3 — Filling, functional parts, constructive and artistic parts.
The idea of flow, unity and, first of all, the idea that the cemetery is for the young, and not for old, for joy, and not for sorrow, but not animal joy, entertaining, but joy is possible with peace, love, human — because. between death and life just the outer shell of concepts.
It was decided to divide the site into 3 memorial zones with memorial objects. In front of the cemetery from the Baikal microdistrict — organize existing zones and supplement them with recreational parks.
Stage 4 — Working with the fragment. Here it was customary to choose central circle (recreational park area in front of the cemetery) and take a closer look functional and technical part — specifying the dimensions, heights and other dimensions.
