A personal exhibition project addresses the subject of the internal experience of time with the help of philosophical optics. Each exhibit in its own way connects individual and unique aspects of temporary experience with elements of a shared perspective of time, in which we share with others an understanding of memory, death, or history.

The project on scale and age explores how, with age, things change in scale: the home becomes as if it were a puppet, and the memories of childhood are distorted. The first place a child recognizes is the space of his home. As a child, everything seems a lot bigger than it really is, and when we go back there, growing up, the perception of scale is distorted.

A psychogeographic study of an artist focuses on the movement of several generations of the family. Ruina, like memory, will never become complete, she will remain in a subjective reality where images are constantly sketched and cannot fully reflect the present. This is not a romantic ruin with the mood of sweet melancholy, where, as in Zimmel, nature returned to itself and absorbed human intervention, but the image that emerged during the deindustrialization and the collapse of the era at the end of the twentieth century.

Since the collapse of the USSR, the perception of industrial symbols in artistic practices and the social field has gradually changed. For the generation of the 2010s, the plant became a place of myth or family tradition. In its practice, Alain Astakhova represents the worker as a mythological hero, existing between two worlds: magical and industrial. This is the spirit that is felt on Ural, where an artist was born and raised.

The Unheard exhibition project is aimed at understanding the person’s mimic and emotional background. In her project, the artist works with sign language and body movements that «talk» even more than words spoken out loud. «Silence of silent debate» is a model of a conditional antique temple built with sign language elements.

Human beings, as a being, are often put under pressure from society and its perceptions of human beings. At the artist’s exhibition, she wanted to show us how all of us are under pressure from invisible boundaries: our own body, territory and ideology. The video «Sweepers» is the distance in which the tears of mothers, sisters, brides, and daughters open their faces to us.

The Gallerka is located on the balcony of the residential home. It covers both the inner closed yard and the south-west wing of the HPP-2 building. Galerki space is accessible from the court of the House on the Waterfront and visitors to the institution from the third and second floors. The unique location and context allows for the creation of comments, opposition, dialogue or argument that criticizes statements.
