KATSU is a brand that manufactures poufs in the shape of stones made from 100% natural wool. Designer Victoria Ryasova.
In July 2024, a presentation of the brand’s golden collection took place, which included a pouf model called «Gold of Ladoga.» This soft stone in shabby chic style reflects all the beauty of the sunrise over Lake Ladoga. The worn gold changes, so the pouf can look entirely different throughout the day. The stone reflects sunlight and artificial lighting, capturing the shades and colors of the surrounding space.
The pouf is soft but retains its resilience.
Execution technique: felt and gold leaf. Filler: a mixture of holofiber and foam rubber. Size: length/width/height — 500/350/300 mm. Weight — 3 kg. The model is mass-produced made to order. Price 20,000 ₽

Using felted wool and fine craftsmanship, an astonishing realism in the appearance of the product is achieved, which leads to confusion—it seems that you are truly looking at a stone, but upon closer inspection, you realize that it is a soft and pleasant-to-the-touch item. This ambivalence between appearance and tactile sensations creates a kind of «wow effect» that captivates the imagination and evokes surprise.

The pouf is not just an interior item, it is a real art that can take you to a fantasy world. Lying on it, sitting on it or just contemplating it, you experience extraordinary comfort and pleasure.
This item, combining the hardness of stone and the softness of wool, has become a new trend in interior design, along with armchairs, sofas, couches and coffee tables.

KATSU Stone Poufs look incredibly realistic because designer and brand creator Victoria Ryasova devotes a great deal of attention to this. The main inspiration for the author came from the northern nature of the Kola Peninsula and Karelia with their skerries, stones, mosses and lichens, pines, and the multifaceted Lake Ladoga.
KATSU products are chosen by people who prefer minimalism in design — these are straight lines, simple and clear forms, natural materials, and natural motifs.
