
Introduction
The «Breakthrough Fences — A Starry World» public education research project is co-organized by the Xi’an Museum of Art, Xi’an University of Technology School of Art and Design and Xi’an White Deer Parenting Center, under the joint guidance of the Shaanxi Provincial Charity Association and the Education Committee of the Chinese Photographers Association, in response to the call for 28 artists from Xi’an and the rest of the country to focus on the role of «expressive art therapy» in the rehabilitation process of autistic children. It is an experimental art activity with a strong social charitable nature, in response to the call for 28 art masters from Xi’an and all over China to focus on practicing the positive role of «expressive art therapy» in the rehabilitation process of the autistic group, and to raise people’s awareness, understanding and help level of the autistic children through various forms of presentation such as organizing exhibitions and publishing picture albums. Its emergence has built a new bridge between «art» and «autism», and with its avant-garde thinking and behavioral patterns, it provides new ideas and opens up new paths for future art therapy activities.
