Lamp «Light of heart»
Lamp from the ceramics series about the body. This series is about tactility, corporeality, about sensuality, about curves, about softness, about touches. About the body — which is no less than our consciousness, our brain, our thinking — is our foundation. It is an equal part of us, which we must be able to listen to, which feels, which remembers, which responds.
The lamp consists of three ceramic parts placed on top of each other. The two lower parts are made of a mixture of high-temperature clays, and the upper part (shade) is made of thin porcelain that «glows», shining a bright light through its walls. Without a burning bulb, the lamp looks like a complex sculpture. And in the dark and with the light on, the lamp turns into a mesmerizing night light, creating a magical atmosphere and enveloping the room with a warm, muted glow. The porcelain shade turns into a flaming living «heart» of the lamp.
The sculptural details of the lamp turned out to be complex, smooth, like sea pebbles. They shine and shimmer with a spectrum of shades from greenish, gray, brown to pink-violet. By applying glazes by spraying, you can create subtle color transitions. Some glazes, when applied to clay, leave a «halo», which is itself a color.
Thanks to the movable design of the lamp, its parts can be rotated around the central axis of the structure, which makes it possible to create the silhouette of the lamp in a new way.
And golden sparkles, flashes, scars. This is something internal, about the beauty of the imperfect. About the fact that our imperfections, the difficulties we have experienced do not spoil us, but make us «us», not like others.
