ONE-WAY

As part of building the separation wall in the Palestinian Territories in June 2001, my neighborhood in east Jerusalem was separated in half. The state of Israel created a gate that opens few hours every day to allow Palestinians who hold Israeli resident permits into the other side in a one-way exit.
