My name is Laura, I’m 20 years old and I’m a film student. I decided to make this video of my hometown (Porto Alegre, RS, Brazil) being the main character, which suffered a catastrophe in recent months. I took some photos of the city center, during the floods, to record the state of the place. And after the streets were dry, I returned to the same places to record the movement that is now returning to normal. It was a very delicate moment for the population, but all gaúchos (as we in the south of the country are called) helped each other in some way. And people from all over Brazil helped our state too. Many families and animals were affected, in all ways. Unfortunately, it will take time for the state to recover. For all this, I thought it was important to record at least part of what happened.
