ABOUT WORK
Collection of ceramic sculptures «Visiting a fairy tale.» Princesses occupy a special place in Russian fairy tales — and in my collection of balloons there is a work based on the fairy tale by A.S. Pushkin’s «The Tale of Tsar Saltan» — «Three girls under the window, spinning late in the evening…», consisting of the Princess, the Weaver and the Cook. The Trinity, a triad of sculptures, is a «mythopoetic» and artistic image that orders the world in many cultures. Ceramics, as a medium, gives my fabulous works special beauty and fragility, and the technique of execution enhances their magical energy — homespun lace was also used in the work.

ABOUT THE ARTIST
Elena Aleksenko is a ceramic artist, born in the North Caucasus, in the city of Pyatigorsk. I live and create in a studio in Moscow. She graduated with honors from the Department of Ceramics at the Moscow State University of Art and Industry named after. S.G. Stroganov and received a master’s degree. In my work I study non-objective ceramics and shape formation, and am busy searching for new structural and plastic solutions in ceramics. My work is inspired by my knowledge, observation, learning new things, monitoring trends on global platforms — I always look forward. Works are exhibited in art galleries, ceramics are present in museum and private collections. Participant of ceramic symposiums and exhibitions in Russia and abroad; in China, at the international exhibition of ceramics «Temperature» (Jingdezhen, 2023), the work «Space» was a great success and remained in the museum’s collection. I work with all types of ceramics.
